The Road to the Stage

I didn't grow up dreaming of making it big. I grew up dreaming of playing—of feeling that connection between my hands and the drums, of being part of something larger than myself. In the eighties and nineties, Nashville was alive with possibility, and I was determined to be part of it. So I did what I had to do: I built a career in auto trim, mastering the meticulous art of upholstery and customization. It was honest work, and it taught me discipline, precision, and the satisfaction of craftsmanship.

But the real magic happened on weekends and whenever I could steal a moment. I opened for some of the biggest names in country music—Terry Clark, Keith Urban, Sammy Kershaw, Tracy Lawrence, Kenny Chesney, Leann Rimes, and so many others. I shared stages with the Sons of the Desert, Sawyer Brown, Little Texas, Blackhawk, Confederate Railroad, and legends like Earl Thomas Conley and The Bellamy Brothers. Every night was a masterclass in what it takes to connect with an audience, to command a room, and to pour your soul into a performance.

Those weren't the nights I made headlines. They were the nights I made memories—the kind that stick with you, that shape who you become as an artist and as a person.

From the Workshop to the Page

Owning my own auto-trim business gave me something invaluable: control over my time. I could schedule gigs without asking permission. I could invest in better equipment, travel further, and say yes to opportunities that came my way. Between trim jobs and road trips, I filled notebooks with melodies, lyrics, and chord progressions. Some were scribbled on napkins during lunch breaks. Others came to me on long drives between cities, when the road and the music were the only things that mattered.

Those scattered notes, those half-formed ideas, those late-night inspirations—they've become something real. They've become songs.

Every track I've created is rooted in truth. They're story-driven, built on hooks that came from years of jamming and listening and learning what moves people. They blend the warmth and authenticity of classic country with a sound that feels fresh and alive.
